Customer profile: Yellowhammer

Yellowhammer bars comprise 25 venues with brand names such as Bliss, Groove, Sports Cafe, Chilli Whites and Sound Exchange and was set up as an acquisition vehicle by private equity outfit Agilo in March 2008.

It is now one of the largest independent late night leisure operators in the UK, employing around 1,000 staff and most now use Cratos EPOS systems at these venues numbering some 200 touch screen terminals, with head office centralised reporting to control prices and promotions.

Door entry count is a feature of the Cratos system that allows for up to the second count of male and female entrants, and automatic price change control at different times of the day and on different days of the week has helped Yellowhammer manage their business more effectively than any systems they have previously trialed.
